um, yeah. so apparently i'm not so good at writing in my blog, as you can see from the lack of posts during the month of july. but here i am, anyway, sitting in my peaceful home in the boring ol' midwest (which, i've decided, is better than maine). while i'm at it, here are some reasons why it's better in the cornfields:
1. the weather may be hotter, but the sun is out 75% of the time, as opposed to crack-ass maine's overcast skies
2. you may catch a whiff of cow manure from time to time, but at least it never smells fishy (which is way worse, trust me)
3. we have better food. lobster is so overrated.
4. central time zone rules. that may sound lame, but seriously, would you rather see conan at 11:30 or have to wait until 12:30?
5. the guys aren't as creepy here. in maine, they will shout and whistle at you even if you're wearing scrubs.
in conclusion, it's good to be home. now, one more week and i'm off to canada where i can legally drink myself into a stupor for 3 weeks (and maybe go hiking with julian martin...)
